Spearmint DIY Bath Bombs

You know how much we love finding ways to make homemade personal care products.  This is just another excellent choice that features one of our favorite essential oils.  Not only are these ideal for helping clear up your sinuses and soothe congestion, but they are bright enough to really wake you up in the morning when you feel a bit on the groggy side.

Supplies:

  • ½ Cup Baking Soda
  • ¼ Cup Citric Acid
  • 1 Plastic Dropper
  • Water
  • 1-3 Drops Spearmint Essential Oils (optional)
  • Spearmint Herbs
  • Mini Muffin Tin

Directions:

In a small mixing bowl, mix together baking soda and citric acid.

Homemade Spearmint Bath Bombs with dropper

Fill your plastic dropper with water and squeeze 1-2 drops of water at a time into mixture and stir quickly.  You want to add just enough to get them a consistency of wet sand for molding,  Using too much water will make them react and fizz before you are done creating them. You can also use a fine mist spray bottle.

Add a few crushed spearmint herbs into the mixture and give your mix or DIY Bath Bombs a stir.

In your mini muffin pan, sprinkle a few of the spearmint herbs in the bottom of 8 tins.  On top of the spearmint herbs, pour the mixture and pack down tightly with your spoon.

Allow to dry for 20 minutes and then flip the pan over to remove.

Allow these Spearmint DIY Bath Bombs to dry for at least 12 hours before using.

DIY bath bombs are always fun to make, but these homemade spearmint bath bombs are even better since they have so many benefits.  If you like you can add a drop or two of spearmint essential oil to the mix to make the scent even more pungent.

Spearmint is not only great for helping with congestion and sinus pressure, it is an excellent pain reliever and detox to help lend you energy.  The bright and clear scent is perfect for waking you up and helping you to have more energy to finish out your day.

Easy DIY Bath Bombs with Spearmint

We love these homemade bath products to give as gifts!  Grab some simple clear cellophane bags, ribbon. and a label to make a perfect little gift bag that can be added to gift baskets, or given as a single gift to friends and family.

These bath combs can easily be personalized with your own favorite blend of essential oils (only use 1-2 drops of each), or even a drop of food color to give them pop.  These are especially fun for young girls to help you make.  Every girl and teenager daughter loves to pamper themselves, and making their own bath bombs is surely going to be a perfect way to make that happen.

I haven’t made bath bombs in forever! I bet these are super invigorating. 🙂 I bet if people knew how easy they are to make, they would make them themselves more often! Thanks for sharing your recipe on the Family Joy link up.

I know! I cringe at the price tag of them in stores when it’s so easy and fun to make them at home!

I so need to try to make these. I’ve never used bath bombs but my sister loves them. I really need to work on a before bed routine to help me sleep better. This would actually make me look forward to taking a relaxing bath before bed. 😀
