One of my favorite things about this banana cream pie recipe is how easy it is to throw together. I always have a couple ready-made graham cracker crusts, cream cheese, vanilla pudding, and (unless the kids went crazy) bananas. If you keep these on hand like I do, you'll be able to whip this up in no time at all!
Banana Cream Pie Recipe
Prefer to make your own graham cracker crust? It's pretty easy – just pulse one package in the food processors until it's finely ground. Mix in 5 Tbsp melted butter & ¼ cup sugar and press into your pie pan. Bake for 5-7 minutes at 350°. Allow this to cool before continuing as instructed below.
While I keep ready-made crusts on hand, I prefer using my deep dish pie plate for a pie like this. Since you are adding extra fruit onto the crust, it can easily make it much taller than a simple pudding pie. A deep dish pie plate works excellent for this purpose!
Ingredients for Banana Cream Pie Recipe:
- Ready Made Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- 1 box Banana Cream Pudding (3.4 oz)
- 1 3/4 cup Milk
- 8 oz Cool Whip
- 3 Bananas
Directions for Banana Cream Pie Recipe:
Slice 2 bananas and layer in bottom of crust.
Combine milk and pudding mix and whisk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
Fold in 2/3 of whipped topping.
Transfer to pie crust and chill for at least one hour. Slice last banana. Top with remain whipped topping and garnish with banana slices.
