Notes

Cooking method:

Slow cooker method: Use the slow cooker on warm for 2-4 hours.
Stovetop method: Use a double-boiler on low for 30 minutes, strain, and follow directions starting with #4.

The Spoon Test:

Layout a piece of wax paper. Dip a spoon into your oil/beeswax mixture and lay on the wax paper. Give it a few minutes to cool and check the consistency. Add more beeswax and recheck as needed until you reach the desired consistency.

How to use Homemade Sleep Salve:

Apply generously to the bottom of your feet before bed.
Cover with socks.

Essential Oils to Use:

I like to use Relax from Plant Therapy, but a combination of lavender, cedarwood, and chamomile also works great.
