Natural Pest Control has never been easier than with our DIY Garden Pest Repellent Spray! Make a batch of this easy and effective spray to keep critters off your plants this season!

Garden pests are at the top of my seek and destroy list, but I don’t want that at the expense of spraying harmful chemicals all over my garden.  Chemicals found in common pest sprays could harm my pets and my family, not to mention the wildlife that it would hurt or kill.  This is something I want to avoid, and thus this natural pest control spray that is perfect for your garden is the ideal solution.

Natural Pest Control Spray For Your Garden

Fruits and vegetables along with the sunshine naturally draw aphids, nematodes, and other common garden pests to your garden each year.  After researching ways to remove these without using chemicals, I came up with this great natural pest control spray that keeps my plants and family safe.  It doesn’t smell all that yummy, but it is a thousand times better than any pest killer you can buy  Don't worry about the smell or that it is rather unusual looking.  Remember it is effective at ridding your garden of voracious insects without harsh unnecessary chemicals.

Supplies needed:

2 quarts distilled water
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon garlic
15 drops peppermint essential oil
2 teaspoon. Castile soap, unscented
Large spray bottle
Cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer

Garden Pest Spray ingredients

Directions to make natural pest control spray:

If you have fresh garlic on hand, mince it to use in your mixture.  I cheat and use the bottles of minced garlic from the grocery store since I don't use it often.
Combine water, cayenne pepper, and garlic. Allow mixture to sit 4-5 hours, or overnight.

Garden Pest Spray Step 2
Strain mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove garlic chunks.
Place liquid back into the bottle then add castile soap and peppermint essential oil, shake well to combine ingredients.

Garden Pest Spray Step 3

To use:
Shake before each use, then spray the base of your plant, and specific leaves. Avoid spraying anything you will be eating because even with rinsing it may retain some of the flavors.

A natural pest control spray like this one is simple to make, inexpensive, and highly effective.  Since keeping pests off of your plants is key to keeping your plants healthy and vegetables growing, you will likely need to make this spray a few times over the course of the growing season. You'll want to use it as new plants and leaves develop, but as mentioned, be careful to avoid spraying directly onto your vegetables or fruits lest they retain the peppermint and garlic flavors of the mixture.

Using pungent smells is one of the most effective ways to keep pests out of your garden.  Whether you are using this natural pest control spray for your vegetable garden or flower garden, you'll be pleased with the results.
