When I first opened this box containing my Green Grab Bag from White Apricot, I was impressed by how cute the packaging was. These bags would be something I would be proud to gift to a loved one. I quickly removed it from the box and started pulling things out.
My favorite product is the Selma Valentine Whipped Body Butter. I received the “Sweet Sensations” scent. It has a strong scent, but isn't overpowering and quickly dies down, leaving a gentle scent. The 8 oz jar is available on their website for $15. I received a 1 oz sample. This is something I will definitely be ordering, especially after finding a coupon code for 15% off! They also offer soy candles. I'm debating on whether to try the Litsea & Basil or Citrus & Teakwood.
I will also be buying more Raw Goat's Milk Soap from Tierra Mia. This was my first introduction to goat's milk soap and I have to say I could definitely feel the difference between it and the store-bought body soap I was using. Mine was “Clove Black Pepper” and I'm glad I didn't notice the name until after I used it. I'm ashamed to admit, I might have handed it off to my mom to try out and would have missed out! Each bar is only $7, so I plan on grabbing a few of the different scents like “Almond Coffee”, “Lavender Vanilla”, and “Spearmint Sage”. Tierra Mia also provided a 15% off code for Green Grab Bag subscribers.
The Moody Sisters eye cream looked like it had gone bad. I was having a bad nose day, so I can't tell you if it smelled nasty or not. Other reviewers have complained theirs looked curdled, but I didn't have that issue. I did throw mine out and think they must have either had a bad batch or it was past its use by date.
After using it a few times, I'm really liking the Lipz from Scrubz Natural Skin Care. It is a shea butter lip balm. I've never used anything so thick before, but after being sick & dehydrated, I really needed to soften my lips up. I used it a couple times a day and before bed for about 4 days. I don't think my lips have ever been so soft and smooth before. And if I needed any extra incentive to order, they had a coupon code for 25% off and a FREE gift. I also received 2 sample packets of anti-aging cream from Green Tea Skin and a rejuvenating serum from Emtage Hair that I gave away.
When first glancing at the packaging included, I didn't feel it was very green. I headed to their website to see if anything was stated and was happy to see that all of their material is eco-friendly, including the cute bag & bow that impressed me when I first opened my box.
