  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1 cup nut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 blood orange
  • dash of nutmeg

Instructions

  • Add the oats, nut milk, and water to a small pot on medium low. Allow the liquid to heat up and oats to slowly absorb it stirring occasionally.
  • When the oats have plumped and are done add just a dash of nutmeg and plate.
  • While the oatmeal cools for a minute, cut into the blood orange with a sharp knife, removing the peel and fleshy membrane.
  • Slice, quarter or divide the orange and add it to the oatmeal or you may mix it right into the dish.
