I love Pico de Gallo to serve with many Mexican dishes and as a chip dip for the kiddos (removing the jalapenos seeds). Roma tomatoes are best for this, because of how easy it is to remove the seeds and they are less juicy than other varieties. This video shows how to quickly throw together your own homemade Pico de Gallo.  Once you've watched it, don't forget to print the recipe below! You can also add avocado!

Ingredients
  • 5 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • ½ cup cilantro, plus extra for garnish
  • Salt and pepper
Instructions
  1. Core & seed tomatoes.
  2. Remove seeds (if desired) and dice jalapenos.
  3. Dice onion.
  4. Roughly chop cilantro.
  5. In a bowl combine all ingredients.
  6. Serve
