Do you ever think about being Eco-Friendly in the bathroom?  We are always looking for more ways to help save our environment, and the bathroom actually provides some great ways we can easily make changes that impact the world around us.

5 Easy Eco-Friendly Bathroom Choices

It doesn't take much to make a lasting impact on the Earth.  These little changes can make a huge difference today, plus they are excellent ways to teach your kids about doing something positive for the environment around them and their own future.

5 Easy Eco-Friendly Bathroom Choices

Don't wash towels after every use. This is probably one of the biggest and easiest things you can do differently.  Many people wash their towels after every use, but if you even switch to washing every other time they are used to dry a clean body off after bathing, you can save not only water but energy resources. For large families like ours, you can buy specific bath towels for each person so everyone knows what color or design is theirs.  Install towel bars or hooks in the bathroom and make sure everyone hangs theirs up after use to keep them clean for the next use.

Turn off the water when brushing your teeth.  You can waste gallons of water a week just by leaving the water running while you are brushing your teeth.  Wet your toothbrush, then turn the faucet off and only turn back on when it is time to rinse.  This is really important to remind kids about since they tend to get distracted so easily in the bathroom while brushing their teeth.

Switch to Eco-Friendly feminine hygiene products.  This has been controversial to some, but switching to cloth feminine hygiene products or even using a reusable cup for monthly needs is a great way to save money and eliminate waste in your bathroom.  Traditional purchased products are not biodegradable, or in the cases where they are, it takes many years to see them break down.  This switch is a great choice for the environment, and can save you a lot of money in the process.

Use natural cleaning products.  Whether you buy natural products in store or you make your own homemade natural cleaning products, this is a super easy way to make Eco-Friendly bathroom choices for your family.  Not only are you removing harsh chemicals from your home, you are impacting the environment by not putting those same chemicals down the drain to leech into the soil around us.

Making Smart Choices with Scott Tube-Free

Choose Scott Tube-Free toilet paper.  Did you know you can now purchase toilet paper that no longer has the cardboard tube inside each roll?  This may seem insignificant to most, but over the course of a year, your family can easily go through 150 or more rolls of toilet paper.  150 of those cardboard tubes requires a lot of paper to create, and thus uses valuable resources that could be saved for other needed items.

How does it work?  Just like any other toilet paper.  Scott Tube-Free is soft and quality as you can expect and rolls off just like any other toilet paper would.  It simply no longer has that harder cardboard center you are used to having (that no one else in my home knew how to throw away)!

Scott even teamed up with a Youtube star to show you how easy it is to use in your own bathroom!  Don't miss the funny video below that shares how Americans can go through 66,000 tubes every two minutes!  That number is astounding!  Think about how easy it is to impact the Earth just by switching to Scott Tube-Free toilet paper!

You can find Scott Tube-Free at select retailers nationwide and online.  Plus you can see how many tubes your household uses and grab a Scott Tube-Free Coupon at TossTheTube.com!
